Wine and Food in Greenwich
The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival that took place this Oct 5 was a haven for booze and food lovers alike. The annual festival celebrates local foods, beers and wines.
Held at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich the park was packed with chefs, brewers and winemakers showcasing their signature products to a crowd of hungry and thirsty people!
Our team was in the beer tent and boy did we have a blast. You may think that the festival was packed with just oenophiles but beer lovers were a large part of the delegation. We served our flagship Lager and our Belgo – both went over well – so well that many people came back for seconds!
The coolest part of the festival is when our Yonkers Lager was used in the burger competition. Celebrity chefs judged burgers from around the area while washing it down with a perfectly paired pint! Pretty cool!
Overall the event went well, we met some awesome people and we supported a great charity. The event benefits the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a nonprofit that runs camps for children coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses.
