Crafting A Nation at Alamo
We had a blast yesterday at the amazing Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers for the screening of Crafting a Nation. We started off in the lobby speaking with some really cool people from around the area who came out to watch the movie and drink some great beer – of course.
As for the movie, Thomas Kolicko did a great job depicting the trials and the tribulations of opening a brewery, from money, time and overall investment in the business. He showed the balance of the good times and the hardship of what it takes to run a brewery all with an undertone of absolute passion for the business. The film was full of brewer’s opinions about owning a brewery and what that means in the current economic environment.
At the end of the film there we were honored to be part of the Q&A with Thomas Kolicko and James Tai, Beer Program Manager for Pinch at the Empire City Casino. Many questions were asked about beer, why we decided to get into this business, etc.
Overall we had a great time watching Crafting A Nation and being part of the Q&A. A big thanks to Thomas, James Tai and the folks at Alamo Drafthouse. Drink local!
