Walking The Runway For A Cause
What a great night at Providence NYC with Ice Hockey In Harlem. Yonkers Brewing got the red carpet treatment (literally) and had our flagship lager served all night to the VIP’s that attended.
The night gave me a chance to Schmooze with some “big wigs” and really get our story out there to the newly penetrated NYC market. Was a night of some great booze and a Fashion Show to boot!
Ice Hockey In Harlem is doing some great things helping to introduce the great sport of ice hockey to inner-city children. Since the late 80’s they have helped hundreds of children to get off the streets and onto the Ice.
Below is a press release from the event!
ICE HOCKEY IN HARLEM FASHION FUNDRAISER AN EVENT LIKE NO OTHER
New York Fashion Week kicked off with Fashion Faceoff 2013 — an exciting evening featuring beautiful people, great energy and innovative fashion. The event was a first of its kind fashion-meets-sports inspired runway competition. NHL player Ville Leino of the Buffalo Sabres joined fashion experts E.J. Johnston (Executive Producer of NBC’s Fashion Star) and Nova Lorraine (Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Raine Magazine) in judging a highly competitive group of 10 rising star designers. The memorable evening included appearances by British Royals, future Marquis and Marchioness Caewlin Thynne and his new bride Emma McQuiston, Jake Boyd from Broadway’s hit musical Rock of Ages, designer Maria Valentino, as well as former NHL players Chris and Peter Ferraro. Keon Brown took home the win after showcasing three knock out outfits inspired by the New Jersey Devils – highlighting bold colors, unforgettable details and incredibly chic silhouettes. Over 300 people came out to support the fashionable fundraiser which benefited Ice Hockey in Harlem, a charity focused on education and empowerment with a mission to help children onto the right track in life through the sport of hockey.
