Hogs 4 Hope: Riding For A Cause
Hogs 4 Hope – a charity motorcycle event that benefits The Ronald McDonald House of NYC – took place this past Saturday at the JFK Marina in Downtown Yonkers. The members of The Yonkers Fire Department have been hosting the event for the past five years and they for sure have it down to a science!
While a little chilly, more than 400 bikes showed up at the Croton Aqueduct with the coffee, bagels, and their excitement to ride! Being lead by an awesome hot rod, the hundreds of bikers, along with motorcycle cops lead the way down to Yonkers. They rolled into the Marina and it was loud as heck but a sight to see!
Following the scent of the BBQ, sausage and peppers, burgers, hot dogs and more every biker had to pass by the beautifully decorated Yonkers Brewing Co. booth where we were giving out samples – and of course stickers.
Yonkers Brewing Co. was excited to be part of a great event to raise money for RMHNYC. The amazing vendors, food, beautiful Hudson River views and people who came out to support the cause made for a wonderful day!
More on RMHNYC: This is an amazing “home away from home” for children and their families who are being treated for childhood cancers in hospitals in the New York City area. RMH has held a special place in the hearts of The YFD for the last twenty years after one of their members was a guest at RMH. They have been heavily involved ever since, raising tens of thousands every year.
