Brew Day for Double IPA
Yesterday was a brew day here at Yonkers Brewing Co.; seven barrels of our Double IPA is now nestled in the fermentation tanks.
Our DIPA is the biggest beer we brew, coming in at just under 10% ABV. It took 720 lbs. of grain, pushing the limit of our brew house, and 25 lbs. of hops (Centennial, Cascade and Citra). The beer will be fermenting for 12 days before it gets kegged and will hit the taps at the brewery in about 4 weeks.
While you wait for DIPA, look out for the next few beers we have on deck: Irish Red, Tart Apricot Saison & a Belgian Brown brewed with Crown Maple Syrup from Dutchess County, NY.
