Single-Hop Pale Ale Series #11 & Hudson Valley Restaurant Week
A lot of cool things are happening behind the scenes at Yonkers Brewing today.
The crew is currently brewing our Single-Hop Pale Ale Series #11: Sorachi Ace. This intriguing hop variant evokes unique aromatic qualities like lemon and dill. Sorachi Ace is not a hop used by all brewers, but some do like to play around with it’s characteristics in various styles of beer (see Brooklyn Brewery’s Sorachi Ace farmhouse ale or Elysian Brewing Co.’s Loser Pale Ale). However, we are going Sorachi Ace exclusive on our latest concoction; we hope you enjoy it when it hits the taps!
In other news, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (Nov. 2-15) starts on Monday and our menu is now available for review in the Menu section of our website. As per the standard, we will be offering three courses for both lunch ($20.95) and dinner ($29.95).
Just to whet the appetite, here are some examples of what we are working with for the next couple of weeks:
Appetizers: Tuscan Soup w/ kale, white beans & sausage; Shrimp Skewers w/ IPA vinaigrette
Mains: Salmon w/ maple-Smoked Marzen glaze; Prosciutto-Stuffed Chicken topped with a mushroom-Honey Blonde Ale sauce
Desserts: Vanilla Stout Brownies; Cupcakes w/ Smoked Marzen-Bacon frosting
Big things in the brew house, big things in the kitchen…we can’t wait to share them with you!
