Birthday? Nah, Birth-week.
Our birthday week is in full swing and two of our four parties are already in the books; time flies!
On Wednesday night, we got things started by taking over a few taps at Growlers Beer Bistro in Tuckahoe. It was the first time First Anniversary Porter was made available to the public, while fan favorites Shower Time Pale Ale and Belgian Golden Strong were also flowing. They had a great tap list going, including Firestone Walker’s oatmeal stout, Velvet Merlin. It was great getting to talk to some loyal supporters of Yonkers Brewing, as well as those who were experiencing our brews for the very first time. Events like that are great because it’s an excuse to get out there and allow people to put a face to a name. Almost the entire YBC team came out to kick off what has been a great week so far.
Last night, we piled into the small but fantastic Beer Noggin, a tap room and bottle shop in Bronxville. They had an excellent tap selection, which included our own First Anniversary Porter, Single Hop Series #11 Sorachi Ace and Altbier. It was awesome to see our brews on tap next to the likes of Other Half Brewing (Short Dark & Handsome), Hill Farmstead (Everett), Pizza Boy Brewing (Grasslands), Carton Brewing (Red Rye Returning) and the Ommegang & Threes Brewing collab, Was It Good For You? We gave out stickers, coozies and t-shirts, chatted up some like-minded craft beer folks and got to sit back and enjoy how far we have come since we opened our space a year ago.
We are keeping the party going tonight at Prime 16 Pelham, a 7pm start time. We will be pouring First Anniversary Porter and a couple others. This will be the last of our satellite celebrations until our big First Anniversary Bash tomorrow at the brewery. We will be going all day, from open to close, and serving you our anniversary brew three ways: regular draft, nitro and in limited amounts of 32oz crowler cans.
We hope to see everyone there and look forward to a great time!
