Be part of the second annual Yonktoberfest taking place all day on Saturday, October 8, 2016!
A little history to get you started.... A long, long time ago an eligible bachelor named Crown Prince Ludwig decided he wanted to man up and marry Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. This was a big deal in Bavaria because Prince Luddie (as his friends called him) was a stud and all of the ladies had his poster hung in their chambers and dreamed of the day they could call him their beloved.
Too bad for those single ladies... As Prince Luddie married Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen on October 12, 1810 many a ladies swore off love. The state knew that if the women swore off love then all of the men in Bavaria would end up alone! So in an effort to cheer these women up, a feast was held! There were horse races, food carts, and of course tasty beer!
To sum this up, Oktoberfest was a huge party.
With Oktoberfest being celebrated all over the world, we said, "Why not in Yonkers?" So we deliberated over a few libations and went for it!
There are limited 32oz and 16oz mugs available for purchase upon arrival. Come early and secure yours!
